It is very important to have a goal.
But it is more important to know how to achieve that goal and in order to do that you have to know where you start from.
If for example you are a woman with weight 100 kilos and height1.65 m, and you are trying to look like Zizele in 10 days by starving yourself... well then I do not think that you are on the right track.
Take a good look of your body in front of a mirror.
Wear simple underwear and have adequate light in the room.
Now check closely.
What is your body type?
Are you as fat as you think you are?
What is your best asset? Your breasts? Your back? Your legs? Your hair? Your eyes?
Throw away the scale and use the measuring tape instead.
It does not matter how much you weight because from the moment you are working out your body starts building muscles, and muscles are heavyer than fat.
So centimeters are more "valid" than kilograms.
Based on your body type, age, any health issues that you may be dealing with and general condition, talk with your doctor / trainer / instructor / teacher and see what is the best result you can achieve both in short (3 months) as well as in long term (6-12 months).
Try and keep realistic goals and this way you will see results!
The right combination of working out and eating healthy will help you promote your best assets.
If you are curvy embrace it
If you are petite have fun with it
Big butts are not an issue these days (women go through surgery to grow their derriere...)
If you are bigger in the waist area then wear clothes that are not too tight or can create the illusion of a tighter stomach
If you know the beginning (how you really look like right now) and the end (the best you can look based on your age and body type) you will find the way to get there.
But remember two things:
- Always have realistic goals
- Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes
